Every single smaller or larger event we have ever organized has always had its specificities and pitfalls. And even this mining team building was indisputable proof of that. An event for more than 110 people is always special in its own way, and even if you believe, from the bottom of your heart, that there is nothing left to surprise you, everything is ready and you have done it countless times, the opposite is always true… 😆 But we are not complaining, on the contrary, it is one of the parts of our work that we enjoy and for which we cannot anyhow say that we have a monotonous job 😜

There were 3 groups of participants set out for the event in the beautiful surroundings of Štiavnické vrchy. A large group from Bratislava, a large group from Košice and the third part was coming individually. There would have to be a devil in it for all the groups to arrive as planned… The carefully planned program was supposed to start at the stroke of noon – that’s how the whole program was built, which consisted of several parts that were intertwined. Everything was perfectly tuned and ready, the staff and subcontractors briefed, and the weather ideal, just perfect 😜

After the arrival of the first group, which came on the spot more than an hour late and started settling in freely, the client and I understood that today we would be largely improvising and that the precisely prepared schedule would simply not fit today. But improvisation must be in the equipment of every good agency, so we accepted it with understanding and humility 🧘🏻‍♂️🧘‍♀️

We started with welcome and moderated team activities on the multifunctional field when we divided our guests into teams and gradually involved them in undemanding fun group fights. The FUN Olympiad has never disappointed, and it is not for nothing that it is one of the most popular team-building programs. This time too, we felt that the clients would not be angry if we continued longer. But today was planned differently. After stirring up the stiff muscles along the way with the initial activities the first groups were already leaving for the nearby tunnel ⛑

The main program was prepared here, which we mastered mainly with the help of local mining foremen. We divided the participants into groups, where the first one was awaited by an interactive tour of the tunnel with tests of the ancient technique of mining ore and drilling dynamite coils. But not “just like that”, but good for speed and quality in the team competition. As for the second group, they tried moderate panning for gold in a double combination with mining knowledge testing. All this with a funny interpretation of real ⚒️ masters in old-world mining jargon.

In the meantime, we had an accompanying program at the resort consisting of competitions, group activities and tasty refreshments. By the time all the teams took turns, day and night also alternated and we ended up in almost complete darkness. We quickly started evaluating above-ground and underground activities, handed out prizes to the participants and celebrated the winners 🏆🍾

And it was already time for a great outdoor barbecue, which we spiced up at the end with an extremely popular knowledge quiz for this client. After dark and without technology, we managed

everything, despite a bit of tiredness after the whole day, but the participants had fun and that is the alpha and omega for us 🥰

Our guests had a good time in the relaxed atmosphere and that’s the time when we like to leave discreetly and with a good feeling, leaving room for the informal part. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to further joint events! 🙏😇
