This time, let\u2019s start from the end\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last truck leaves the Main Square, our event agency picks up the final two chairs left behind by the security team, a light rain falls, and tourists wander through the quiet streets. It\u2019s the day after \u2014 Sunday morning \u2014 and the city cleaning service has just finished clearing the square. After the grand celebration, there\u2019s not a trace left. Truly excellent work by the cleaning crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21:59 \u2013 The DJ closes the music set as the crowd slowly begins to disperse. We walk through the venue \u2014 it feels like a second New Year\u2019s Eve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21:30 \u2013 The players triumphantly lift the championship trophy, the world-famous song We Are the Champions<\/em> plays, confetti bursts, champagne sprays, and a crowd of 7\u20138,000 people roar into the night as sparklers light up the sky. The atmosphere is electric \u2014 indescribable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21:00 \u2013 The entire team and coaching staff are on stage. Speeches alternate with chants from the crowd and beats from top headliners. Kuco<\/em> is crowned king, and the square is packed to the limit \u2014 pure celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20:45 \u2013 The players arrive backstage with their families and friends. Separ<\/em> and Luca Brassi<\/em> storm the stage. Hearts are pounding, and the centre of Bratislava is echoing with chants from thousands of voices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20:00 \u2013 The main program kicks off. Hosts hype up the crowd, rock beats fill the square, and rhythmic drumming builds the energy. Litres of fresh tank beer start pouring \u2014 free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

19:30 \u2013 Fans begin arriving from the stadium via large-capacity buses \u2014 just this transport alone moves more than the official limit of 2,400 people, and everything runs smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

17:00 \u2013 The live broadcast of the final league match, \u0160K Slovan vs. FC Ko\u0161ice, begins on the big screen. Hundreds of helium balloons in team colours float above the crowd. We already know \u2014 this is going to be huge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

15:00 \u2013 Stage setup complete. We take a quick coffee and magnesium break\u2026 and keep going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D-Day-(Saturday):
We\u2019re on-site early in the morning. The stage, sound, and LED screen arrive, followed by barriers and mobile toilets. We hold our breath waiting for the electrician, fill water tanks, secure the structures, and pray for everything to go according to plan. The mobile beer tap accidentally arrives at the stadium instead of the square \u2014 but everything else follows the schedule perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The night before:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bit of healthy stress, a few last-minute messages, and final confirmations \u2014 everything seems to be in place. Hopefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 days before:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scenario and timeline are finalised. Last in-person meetings and double checks \u2014 we\u2019re confident we\u2019re ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4 days before:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We finally received the official event permit, followed by all the dependent approvals. Uff.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 days before:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A series of high-stakes safety briefings with representatives from all emergency and security services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exactly 11 working days before the event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We get the official green light and start sprinting to secure the countless required permits. Servers at city offices crash, department heads work remotely, phones go unanswered, and even the internet cuts out. We\u2019re on the verge of collapse \u2014 but we believe. And thankfully, we meet some kind and helpful people along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

April 2025:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We start anticipating that it might be time to prepare for the championship celebration. We hear it could take place on Bratislava\u2019s Main Square, right in the heart of the city. We warn that there\u2019s still \u201cplenty of time,\u201d yet proactively suggest meetings \u2014 but as always, there\u2019s plenty of time for everything<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
