We first developed the concept of Christmas Markets during the winter of the “second COVID season” in 2021. The main idea was to create a safer outdoor space and, of course, the concept of private corporate Christmas markets. Unfortunately, large gatherings were not allowed in December last year, but fate had it that we were able to bring it to life this year.

The registered number of participants exceeded three hundred, so we couldn’t leave anything to chance. The event was preceded by exceptionally thorough preparation. Even a child would tell you that an event called Christmas Markets simply cannot go without traditional wooden stalls offering a wide selection of classic Christmas Eve delicacies, thematic background music, light decorations, rich Christmas decor, and, most importantly, a Christmas tree!

We arrived at the venue early in the morning, almost in complete darkness. As soon as we got there, it responsibly started snowing, which, compared to the torrential rain ☔️ at the last event, was a very pleasant and welcome change at first. Since we had already set up the Christmas Markets twice before this event and this one was at least partially covered, the installation went almost completely smoothly. We finished constructing the area on time and could focus on perfecting the decorations and overall atmosphere. The catering filled the air with delicious aromas, and we eagerly awaited the arrival of the guests.

And they did indeed arrive, almost perfectly timed with the official opening of the markets, bringing even heavier snowfall with them. To test our production flexibility, we were also treated to a full-on snowstorm. We weathered it with dignity, just as we handled the initial surge of over 200 participants. The primary “attack” was directed at the stalls offering cabbage soup, potato pancakes, traditional Slovak sandwiches, mulled wine, and punch. The DJ played Christmas hits, attendees enjoyed themselves, heaters kept everyone warm, lights sparkled, and snow continued to fall. A perfect winter Christmas idyll.

The Christmas disco at the end of the program didn’t happen, as the perceived temperature during the Christmas Markets hovered around -10°C, and guests quickly dispersed to the warmth of their homes. Nevertheless, the mission was accomplished with honor and perfection. We are grateful for the trust and are already looking forward to more magical collaborations in the future!
