A double concert by Lúčnica, Slovakia’s artistic ensemble, held in the country’s largest outdoor amphitheatre in Banská Bystrica. Beyond constructing a multi-level stage accommodating a 50-member choir, 150 performers, and two full-scale concerts full of composed dance and music — along with all sound and light technology — the entire production rested squarely on our shoulders.
Organising public concerts isn’t exactly our cup of tea — but within the wide spectrum of our event agency’s portfolio, it’s certainly not something we can’t handle. We spent months meticulously planning layouts, schedules, and budgets, and invited experienced professionals from major local music festivals to join the core organisational team. After weeks of intense preparation, the long-awaited production phase finally arrived.
Two days of intense on-site work followed in an amphitheatre that, sadly, has seen better days — and whose steeply sloped terrain was far from easy to manage😌. Our responsibilities included security coordination (positioning, timing, briefings, and supervision), logistics and installation of mobile barriers, recruitment and management of the gastro zone with direct sales in the “Meadow of Living Traditions” area — home to a colourful side program — as well as complete beverage station operations, backstage setup and management, comprehensive electrical installation, and technical support throughout the event.
With thousands of visitors expected over two concert days, we ensured seamless production for both evenings, welcoming a total of over 5,500 attendees. Our efforts were greatly supported by an exceptionally cooperative client — and, just as importantly, by sunny, windless weather that allowed the audience to fully enjoy the unique performance.
The post-concert ovations and thunderous applause echoed through the heart of Slovakia long after the final curtain fell. We’re deeply grateful to have played an essential role in this project and to have honed our skills alongside the very best.
