By default, such a text would be created in the style of “similar to a year ago, we created a sports zone at the Grape festival, which we already know intimately”. In this case, the pandemic period moved us three years later and, in this case, also to a different place. The Grape Festival moved from Piešťany to Trenčín. The zone full of sports at the second-largest music festival in Slovakia also underwent minor or major changes.
This year too, we provided popular festival activities such as sports rental, board games, mini-table tennis, petanque and volleyball with football. We also provided other sports highlights that we regularly try to vary at these types of events, so approximately 20,000 visitors could try slackline, teq-ball, headis or street workout. A separate chapter is the annual tradition in the form of Veľká Piešťanská. No, we were not mistaken – the name was intentionally left as a form of memory of the Piešťany tradition of this fun and flighty version of hobby horse riding.
Of course, this year we have also prepared several complete novelties. We were inspired by the activity “Jump like Ronaldo” abroad and made it adapted to festival conditions. And it was a real hit, with people stopping by almost all the time. And it was also successful on social networks. The program’s premiere was also a run along the runway called “Run as Zátopek”. The Saturday morning run around the runway attracted several dozen people. Successful runners received a non-alcoholic drink and regular applause from other visitors right during the run 🙂 The third novelty was the Aviation Days, which tested the design skills of the participants in building paper aeroplanes. It was interesting that the overall winner was a lady who spent half an hour building an aeroplane according to instructions from YouTube 😀
This year, the zone that we provided for production also included minigolf (it was also almost constantly “booked”), streetball and U-ramp were also available for guests within the overall zone. Quite simply, a lot of interesting and attractive sporting experiences for one music festival 🙂
