It was also hard for us to believe that four years had already passed since the last year of Tesco Family Day, the biggest event “organised by us”. However, even the pandemic break did not take anything away from the beauty of this “small festival”, nor from the extremely precise preparation process. The numbers don’t lie, so judge for yourself – over three thousand guests (of which over a thousand children), dozens of accompanying activities, over 50 full buses and hundreds of staff members. But let’s go step by step. 👏
Preparation for such large events begins several months before it start. Naturally, the first important step is to choose and book
a suitable area, when, after mutual agreement with the client, we also placed this edition in Banská Bystrica. Above all, the favourable geographical location, highway accessibility and sufficient capacity were decisive factors in the decision. 🤝
But let’s move on to the most important thing, and that is the day of the event itself. As was the custom for past years, the accreditation was started for a minute exactly at nine o’clock. Accompanying activities were launched from the very beginning and this year their selection was extremely varied. Traditionally, children could find the widest range of activities such as the all-day children’s Olympics, inflatable attractions, creative workshops, face painting, a portable planetarium or a traffic playground, as well as various other entertainment zones. There were also performances on stage and a popular foam party.
Adult visitors also had at their disposal a wide range of options to spend this pleasant sunny day. From various sports activities (whether tournament or free), team-building competitions, dance workshops, creative workshops, and the chill-out zone to culinary competitions. Traditionally, partner and presentation stands of departments and interest groups of the client and its partners could not be missing.
The main point of a full-day programme is traditionally the performance of a musical guest from the ranks of the biggest names. This year the choice fell on the ageless diva Dara Rollins and it was a really great choice. With a mix of her legendary hits and the latest pieces from her portfolio, she made the audience dance and sing along, who couldn’t wait for her concert. It was a great end to another successful and trouble-free year for this big corporate event.
Tesco Family Day 2023 was another successful event that once again tested our production forces in all aspects. By default, the beginning of September is filled with big events, but without a doubt, this event is the biggest professional test that will show us what we are capable of. In addition, it is an extraordinary and valuable experience. We thank you in this way for the huge trust we receive, and we are already looking forward to the next big (and even bigger) challenges! 🤩
