We should be honest, the Hockey Player of the Year Gala was another in a series of events and productions that we couldn’t even dream of a few years ago. ☺️ Another milestone passed by our agency event, a TV gala evening with many important figures of Slovak hockey, live broadcast (or a more modern livestream) simultaneously on several streaming platforms. The beautiful thing is that we took it absolutely professionally and we probably did not hesitate even for a millisecond within its implementation. 🪄
We were slightly worried about changing the location a few weekends before the event when we already had a varied palette of drawn and created details, without which such a year could not have been done. But change is the basis of life, and we adapted to the new reality with a smile. The Doubletree by Hilton premises were chosen as the new venue. The expected number of participants was up to 300, and the kick-off of the live broadcast was scheduled for exactly 20:00 CET. 🕗
Although the technical preparations started a few weeks in advance, the production itself started early in the morning before the event. The whole day of preparing the construction of audio and video equipment of various kinds, without which we would not be able to make it, setting up the rooms and adjacent spaces was finished with an evening dress rehearsal. We ran it probably a hundred times so that everything was perfect on D-day. 🍀
The day of the event began with the arrival of other subcontractors, we couldn’t miss the wonderful flower decoration, even the custom-made photo wall, we were fine-tuning the details so that we were perfectly prepared for the arrival of the guests two hours before the start of the livestream. Accreditation worked flawlessly, the hostesses were not only nice, but also beautiful, hockey personalities with partners in classy dresses arrived in an excellent mood, and at eight o’clock the whole show could start. 🎥
The moderators of the event were absolute professionals chosen by the careful client. The increasingly popular Vlado Varecha was brilliantly seconded by the “hockey Marcel Merčiak” Rasťo Konečný. The musical guest was none other than Marián Čekovský, whose back was covered by the best musical acts of today led by Martin Valihora on drums, Henry Tóth on guitar and Oskar Török on trumpet. The nearly two-hour TV show, during which the biggest hockey personalities of 2023 were announced to the massive applause of the audience in the field of coaches, players and referees, took place at a dynamic pace and with appropriate elegance. As you pick the cherry, we had the opportunity to welcome Marián Hossa to the Slovak Hockey Hall of Fame, and Tomáš Tatar dominated the Hockey Player of the Year poll. An evening full of legends, with our modest assistance. 🥰
After the end of the live broadcast, there followed sincere congratulations, a festive photo shoot and friendly greetings, as befits a really good and selected company. After a short press conference, exclusive catering and an informal evening part began. Thanks to the pleasant summer evening climate, it was in the fresh air on the outdoor terrace of the grandiose hotel. And thanks to the tent with a transparent roof, we experienced also a real night under the starry sky. 💫 Drink service directly proportionally adapted to the standard, so that the celebrity guests can enjoy an unforgettable night until the morning hours.
And we enjoyed it in the same way. From the first moment of preparation to the departure of the last guest. We firmly believe that it was not the last time. Thank you for your trust, good luck in sports and especially in hockey!
